 Dear Vicky, Did you ever, during this ravaging plague called COVID Delta etc, contemplate the likely possibility that THERE IS NO GOD?    I am so sorry for your loss in the town named after Ira and Ann Yates not too far from Fort Stockton and Monahans Texas.  No disrespect to your faith in God Miss Zapata, but why would you pray to a God on Facebook who let the plague happen to begin with?  Do you think Iraan is being punished just like the people in the Old Testament who had been sinful? Why would you worship a "higher power" who would let this happen in the first place? Your governor is to blame by not enforcing masking and social distancing. The 1200 citizens of your oil field town are equally at fault for ignoring the Corona Virus prevention protocol. So after all their negligence, you still want God to bail you out?

 When our family first moved to Roswell New Mexico, we were sooo happy to be breathing clean air, but I guess anyplace has clean air compared to Los Angeles.  We knew within the first two weeks, the place was full of narrow minded red necks who voted for Fascist Trump, but the people were friendly if you could just avoid politics and religion at Sam's Club and Farmer's Market.  We just loved some of the devoted middle school teachers even the ones that were imprisoned at Mesa. We thought of the classrooms as generally safe until recently when speakers at the school board meeting got out of hand intimidating everybody but the Mexican guy with balls of steel. That man does have cojones I would not mind milking.  This backwards town actually somehow has so far legally gotten away with ignoring government COVID health mandates. I have never been around so many ignorant people in my life who do not mind threatening the lives of elementary school students and the whole tow...

  Does anybody know what  "bcbs status" "not paid" means?  We logged into the Blue Cross Blue Shield Texas Claims center to see if we had been paid for an international claim.  Under the Claim Detail Section along with our Group Number and ID number, we got what appears to be some bad news rejecting the claim. However when we reviewed the FAQ(Frequently Asked Questions) "not paid" means something more like "in progress" or processing.  Has anybody else had a similar experience they could share?  We spent almost $2500 out of pocket in Thailand for stress test, chest xrays, eye, ear exams, prostate antigen screening test, bloodwork and a value added consultation with a cardiologist. We heard that BCBS is great about honoring medical care claims in foreign countries!!  Fingers Crossed  BTW $2500 out of pocket in Bangkok must less expensive than the train wreck called health care in United States of America.

 It is well known that there are weaker and stronger creatures in the Animal Kingdom. The weaker ones frequently die at a younger age than the stronger organisms. Us humans are no different where wealth is often a measure of  strength which, in turn, gives people with more money access to more and better healthcare.  So notions like health sovereignty and health equity are unachievable, Quixotic notions unless we choose to uninvent MONEY. In fact, there is so such thing as equitable access to health care. So Shubha Nageshand and Jonatan Konfino, while well intentioned, have their heads buried in the sand. 

 The USA as a nation and statewide has had to grapple with the problem of opening the economy and preventing the spread of the Delta variant. So whether you call it a lockdown or "ordered social isolation" as they do in Viet Nam, business owners like Nguyen Thi My Dung are completely facing financial ruin if governments impose overly restrictive COVID protocol on their citizens!!  Strict policy is necessary in many parts of the United States to overcome the stupidity of the narrow minded red necks in Arkansas, Missouri, southeastern New Mexico. Ho Chi Minh City experienced a horrible virus breakout when they relaxed their policy. I really miss the days when you could just hop on your motorcycle or bike without having to check the news!!!

 Marianne Bonner wrote an article titled 10 signs that an Insurance agent is being dishonest with you. I think Mrs Bonner wasted way too much time composing her writing! Why?  The only sign required to establish dishonesty here is the individual chose to be an insurance agent. Car Salesmen fall into the same category and in many cases Real Estate agents. A common practice among insurance brokers is to add unnecessary coverages not requested by client. This tactic is more common when they are dealing with the elderly, much like the massive class action suit that was filed against Vivint home security corporation for ripping off old people in Artesia, Carlsbad, Roswell, and Hobbs New Mexico.  Patrick Wraight writes illuminatingly about the perils of trusting health insurance policies. We only really know what the carrier will pay after we are stricken with the appendicitis or the excruciatingly painful kidney or gall bladder stones.

 This picture that I found on Facebook reminds me of how New Mexico's governor can ruin people's life with the snap of her finger. It is picture from one of the school room buildings at the Military Institute in Roswell. The janitors there are working very hard to kill COVID and they flood the classrooms with some kind of blue light that KILLS Corona. I think the custodians have to stay up there an extra hour while the light is disinfecting the classroom and they have to put do not enter signs on the door until the light goes off. My brother in law is a janitor there and needs the money bad to take care of his poor family and wife who has trouble holding down a job even when times are good!  Rumors are being spread that NMMI will be shut down even though they are sticking to the rules and nobody is getting infected.  It is common knowledge around the World that health care in the United States is grossly unfair and predatory. Many Americans are now FORCED to work well beyond their planned retirement to make ends meet regarding exorbitant bills from low quality surgeons and doctors. We received this bill from High Plains Radiological Association(HPRA) in Amarillo,Texas. It was impossible to figure out where they came up with the $45 balance due if you examine the payments/adjustments amount in the itemization.Moreover a patient has no way of knowing what any medical procedure costs these days forcing us to all just trust the greedy physicians and insurance companies.  It gets worse. Chiropractors spent many years repairing the image of being quacks, but a practitioner in Southeast NM is doing his level best to restore that image. I immediately researched the credential of this gentleman who masquerades as a Doctor, since so many have been caught practicing medicine without any supporting training or health care credentials.  In a desperate bid to round up some patients in Chaves County, Mr Hirstov posted a sign in front of his business saying "This is not Nazi Germany and we are not the Secret Police(Gestapo maybe)". He then goes on to say that wearing a mask is optional at his practice in OPEN DEFIANCE of Governor's orders. It actually may be good business move since there are so many ignorant country bumpkins flouting the face mask law there! I apologize to Farmer's Market organizer Peggy Seskey for NOT attending the iconic Roswell, NM event. Peggy breaks her back to set this up and sell affordable and healthy food. A woman from Tularosa New Mexico refused medical care from EMT professionals after T-boning and killing a Roswell woman at the intersection of  Sunset and Relief Route. I am guessing the lady had heard about the extremely high and unfair bills you get from both Hospital's in Alien City. Fred Nathan wrote specifically about the despicable ordeal experienced by Gene Cavallo regarding unexpected and unreadable medical bills from Hospitals.  The deceased  had properly stopped at four way stop sign and  then was struck on the passenger side by the east bound  2017 Toyota Tundra. The reason driver ignored the stop sign is still being investigated.  Albuquerque Family Practice Dr. Jim Tryon also denounces the wild variation in the exorbitant prices charged for medical care, while pointing out that hospitals will never tell patients in advance the price for treatments and surgeries. This is why many of us JUST DON'T PAY THE SCUMBAGS!!

The military institute in Roswell New Mexico is on the National Register of Historic Places. We felt more like taking a free drive by or through if we could find NMMI officials to give us the dollar tour on this hot, extremely windy Thursday afternoon.
