I was doing my best to recall why Bill Maher's name popped into the forefront of my conscious after viewing this lawyer ad on Burt Reynold's Deliverance Movie. You all have seen that one where Ned Beatty's character was sodomized by some Hillbillies? Then Bill's quote surfaced: something like The celibacy of Catholic Priests are a magnet for homosexual pedophiles who like choir boys with pretty mouths. One of the mountain boys, with bad teeth, thought Angelina Jolie's father, John Voight had a pretty mouth and had insisted that Voight's character perform felatio(pray real hard boy) or die!!! So Knightline Legal firm was smart enough to advertise to Catholic Church Abuse Victims during one of the 5 minute commercials in the movie Deliverance. What better choice of rough sex flicks could the attorneys have chosen. I doubt the irony of attorney Lisa Bloom's tweet escaped discerning readers. I would prefer that Lisa be a full-time vegetarian converter. A much more honest and humanitarian gesture than the legal predation practiced by lawyers who only defend clients going after rich criminals. AND there is no doubt that the recent "suicide" Epstein was a criminal who did not deserve to breathe the air on this planet. Lawyer Bloom's microblog went something like Predator J. Just read some fascinating commentary from two black females that could NOT have been more diametrically opposed on the supercharged issue of rape. The quoted commentary is that of Serena Williams regarding a rape case in Ohio. The enumerated comments regarding Serena's "apology" are the pointed opinions of Eris Zion Venia Dyson writing for theguardian.  Eris, I am sorry if you or someone close to you was raped and certainly sympathize with your sensitivity on this matter but your 7 comments miss the pith of Serena's position substantially. A 16 year old girl in skin tight clothing and drinking at a party knows what she is doing. She is there to get laid like many of the other attendees. Teresa Watanabe of the Los Angeles Times just wrote an informative and much needed "expose an injustice" type of article that details the plight of young men falsely accused of rape. A snippet from her "on the cusp of investigative reporting article" reveals the life shattering accounts of three young men who were charged with sexual assault by university officials. These accusations led to expulsion and/or suspension from the college. I do not mean to make light of actual rapes, but I do have a serious bone to pick with women who scream rape because they are just pissed at the guy they had consensual sex with. Each of the alleged sexual assaults were consequent to one night stands likely originating at a bar near the college campus. Young women who show up to these places are usually looking for the the same thing as the young men. That would be casual, no strings attached sex. One has to love the perspective of this guy who posted pseudonymously as warofwords at the web site guardian.com. I think he is right on with his incisive observations as to why the United States has become a breeding ground for Elliot Rodger types who brag about their evolutionary fitness despite evidence to the contrary. The evidence being that women would not be caught dead with him. Some of the backlash from the mass murder in Isla Vista, California is certainly justified, but some of the commentary is irrational with no basis. Women attend frat parties in skin tight pants for a reason. They are trying to attract a mate or have sex. Still, if the guy makes unwanted advance, the girl always has the right to tell him to get lost. If he continues to be aggressive and won't back down, he should be disciplined or arrested. Please, let's not forget that what Elliot Rodger did is exceptionally rare. The city of Detroit has gone years without this type of horrific event ever happening! Sure Detroit has all kinds of violence, but nothing that matches the nature of what happened in the convenience store near the Santa Barbara university. I think the commentary of Maddie Clerides, while very understandable, is somewhat of an overreaction to an outlier event. Did she live in fear before gunman's rampage?
