 I do hope folks who have lived in "their own home"(The bank/lender owns "your home" until you have made the last mortgage payment)  for over 5 years saw through the ruse being spread around by the 31 year old man who attended Wharton School in Pennsylvania(He did not mention whether he had graduated so we can assume he probably didn't)  Ankur Jain stops short of saying that renting a dwelling is stupid while peddling a credit card that will give you cash back and rewards on most people's largest expense which is their rent.  Mr Jain does not mention the enormous cost of property tax, homeowner's insurance, HOA costs and the inevitable repairs and maintenance that can transform the American Dream into the American Nightmare! Ankur is fatuous enough to conclude that paying a landlord is the same thing at "throwing away your money".   Any discerning reader should be able to see falsehoods are being disseminated to benefit Jain and NOT to help tho...

Something has been bothering me for some time concerning the legal affairs of my parents.  We can start with a definition to make matters a little more clear: A probate lawyer is a state licensed attorney who "helps"  the executors and the beneficiaries of an estate to settle the affairs of the decedent including how much money and property is split up between quarreling heirs. . Back to what is pissing me off. Why do attorneys make so much money off of people dying? Real Estate agent Vivian Black has written thoughtfully about this controversial topic.  We have been stuck in Roswell,NM much longer than intended due to COVID and pressing family matters. Our time here makes us well aware of tending to the legal disposition of our aging parent's estate which almost always involves a probate attorney.  We naturally tried to acquaint ourselves with these legal fees not expecting the cost of retaining a probate lawyer to be even worse than the ridiculously high price...

Read a fascinating article about a small town lawyer representing a fitness and tanning center in New Mexico. The female governor  has controversially ordered operating restrictions and sometimes closures which has prevented the spread of COVID, but also has saved untold lives!! Nationwide "fitness centers" sometimes function as hook-up or sort of like pick up bars. These facilities are CERTAINLY NON-ESSENTIAL except to horny people who will have to find another way to get laid. Womanizing is also common at these places.  The attorney, Blair Dunn, representing the Fitness center and a Cowboy dining entity believes the State should compensate the Roswell businessman who owns the place. This is quite the stretch in IMO.Tax payers sure as hell do not WANT TO PAY for lost wages/revenue at a workout place. Run around your neighborhood block a few laps at no cost.  Carlsbad state senator Gregg Fulfer  is also backing his constituency as he is seeking arbitrary Coron...

Melanie T. is on unemployment in New Mexico and was whining on the the news that her unemployment check was one day late! Melanie was willing to beg publicly but only revealed the initial T. for her last name to KRQE in Albuquerque.  So Melanie you could solve that problem by getting a job and laying off the cigarettes your raspy voice on TV betrayed. Don't blame it on The Department of Workforce Solutions. Get a job WOMAN and quit being a dependent on the State. I you are sick and using that as an excuse, it probably has something to do with your smoking habit!! The phrase beggars can't be choosers still applies to able bodied people who would rather live off the government than be gainfully employed!!!!!

Read an ad in the Hobbs NM newspaper that had a marketing slogan I had never seen. A realtor named Pattison came up  with the original shill SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE TO SELL !   Look at the advertisement below to see the old dilapidated haunted house the agent used to humorously get her point across. What is actually more spooky is the fact that COVID-19 is forcing some people to sell their beloved homes when they don't want to!  And the realtors, like a vulture smelling dead flesh, swoop in. I do wonder why she would say I AM NOT NUMBER ONE, YOU ARE!     Are the people in Artesia, Carlsbad, and Roswell actually stupid enough to be flattered by such deceit. Did she think she was number one until she became a real estate agent? Let me tell you what a realtor's NUMBER ONE is. It is 7% of your home's sell price, so Cheryle  would make a cool 14 thousand dollars on your $200,000 home. The fee may be 6%, but that is more than anybody deserves for selling Y...

Caring husband Adam Larkin stole $2000 in gold to help out his growing family and pregnant wife, The sod-buster felt like a failure as a farmer trying to provide for his growing family,  He first tried to take out an honest loan, but was rejected as a bad risk and a borrower with no collateral. Sounds very much like modern times where borrowers have to P ROVE TO THE BANK THEY DON'T ACTUALLY NEED THE LOAN IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THE LOAN.  The manager of the bank that was ripped off noted Mr Larkin's horse had a Spanish Bit and there were only two known people in the region with those type of equine mouthpieces!
