Re purposing alleyways into Bike Trail pissing off some People

Senior Director of Placemaking Karli McElroy, who believes that alleys which were once essentially pathways for garbage trucks, can become aesthetically appealing destinations where the community can assemble for quality interactions that will enhance neighborhood solidarity and security.

One person who does not share the Rochester leader's point of view is Roswell NM resident Richard Hesse. Hesse, in an article written by Juno Ogle, vehemently opposes what he believes will be a diminishing of his property value and step all over his privacy! Chaves County wants to make his Wyoming alley a friggin bike trail next to golf course named after famous Hispanic golfer named Nancy Lopez.

I know I would be livid if city tried doing that to us!!

Gary Randle wants to wipe out the perception of alleys as  cramped spaces that house dumpsters, litter and darkness.
