A Gryphon Gaffe
The television commentator for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball in the United States was particularly critical of the play of outfielder Brian Christopher Goodwin during a very one-sided loss to the Houston Astros Sunday afternoon in a game played in Mexico.
The Astro Catcher had just struck a, difficult to play line drive, which color commentator Sutcliffe stated was a relatively easy play to make during his ESPN announcing job. The Red Baron said that a player of Goodwin's athletic prowess should not have misjudged the flight of the ball allowing an insurance run to score.
