I always thought that any enterprise or place of business that had the name of the county as part of its name would be an upstanding and efficient operation. I leaned differently when dealing with  Chaves County Door and Supply Roswell New Mexico. We spend almost our entire Summer there looking after our rental properties and being Grandparents for my wife's vacationing daughter and her family. About a week ago we needed some upgrades on our metal doors and frames for multiple dwellings. Spoke with a friendly lady named Nancy who wrote down our information and assured us she would get back with us early next day. We had not heard from her by noon. We decided that was not a good sign reasoning that if she did not have time to call us back, then the rest of the experience would be slow and unacceptable. Frustration levels are extremely high regarding the Blackouts of Major League Baseball all over the place in the USA. Arizonans can't watch the Diamond Backs, Coloradans can't watch the Rockies live unless they pay for exorbitantly priced Direct TV or DISH sports packages. MLB.TV is a low price solution to this headache if you are willing to watch an archived game 90 minutes after the conclusion of the live game. So I was ecstatic when I found that DISH TV carries MLB.TV. I paid for it and prepared to watch the 90 minute delayed version of my beloved Diamond Backs.  WRONG.....they charge you, but then do not give you the option to watch the archived version of the game for black out games. So what in the hell am I paying for DISH management?!!! We were headed back to Amarillo TX following a grueling chess tournament where my son did not win a game! So the picture you see below only added  to our existing frustration! As you can see in the extreme background of pic at Edgewood exit 187 on interstate 40, a city ambulance or firetruck is blocking I40 forcing everybody to take detour to Moriarty. The Swift truck driver could not be happy about the delay as well as couple from Missouri in the white Ford Escape purchased at Lutesville in Marble Hill. The cause of this extremely inconvenient turn of events was a commercial truck overturned spilling HazMat all over the freeway leading to a lengthy delay for irate motorists. We used to take Highway 285 south out of Artesia New Mexico all the way down to Fort Stockton so we would have easy stretch of interstate driving on I10 to San Antonio. NO MORE. Unsafe commercial vehicles and tired Oil Field workers have turned our family vacation into too much stress. We feel like we are risking our lives to take that stretch of beat up road in Lea County. John L. Smith(that L. is necessary to distinguish John in Google Searches), writing out of Lovington, describes it as the stench of imminent danger. Commercial truckers knocking down six figure salaries have deadlines to meet which sometimes entails risky driving. A pet peeve of mine is people who no curiosity about word origins or who are unwilling to expand their vocabulary. A couple of testosterone charged cowboys, in a Glen Ford Movie about the Oklahoma Land Run in the year 1889, apologized to to Glen Ford's character for coming on to his wife at a swimming hole. They sheepishly told her they did not mean to discommode her. Enter Ray Pickett and Linda R Leone who have fond or not so fond memories of the word that means to inconvenience or irritate. Ray has been discommoded as a jogger  at the Coole Park Gort, County Galway in the country of Ireland. Careless dog walkers on the jogging trail was the source of Mr Pickett's irritation. I wish the USA posted notices on their jogging trails to fine irresponsible dog owners! Mrs Leone recalls hearing  the now archaic discommode on the TV show Father Knows Best.

One would expect the good people of Roswell NM to be either Dallas Cowboy or Denver Bronco fans since both of those NFL hosting cities are around 500 miles from the Pecos Vally in south eastern New Mexico. But the picture below provides evidence to the contrary. We took it next Spring River Golf Course at 1600 West Third Street. We may retire in Roswell and were scouting around for a place walking distance to both the golf course and Cahoon Park where they recently covered up the prematurely closed pool for good! You will see the gold or yellow packer sign painted on the curb of the proud fanatics of the Aaron Rogers led professional football team. I am sure it was tough for the residents of this home while the Dallas Cowboys were dominating Favre and the cheeseheads in the 90s. We saw a fight between Packer and Cowboy fans at Farley biker bar a couple of years back. Nobody got hurt and the police were not even called! When it comes to political views and ideology in US nowadays, there is are no philosophical underpinnings or moral principles that guide most Americans. Everybody votes for the presidential candidate they feel will most  protect their family and source livelihood. Bronson Corn's letter to the newspaper in Roswell NM is perfect example of this assertion. Bronson is a sod buster or more politely a farmer. He took a trip to the packed illegal immigrant situation at the Mexico/USA border. The unstable conditions there are an extreme threat to ranchers and farmers in the region. Bronson, who pays his hard earned tax dollars to the Federal Government, expects that money to pay for more Customs and Border Patrol Agents to shut down the uncontrolled flow of Central American and Mexican drug runners across the border.

We spend almost 5 weeks in Roswell, New Mexico United States of America during the summer months to help out our children with with their parenting duties. We have to get out and about occasionally and have been appalled by the dangerous driving we see daily. Kids racing down Main Street and Union streets, idiots not stopping at four stops, just to list two reckless forms of operating a motor vehicle. An off duty sheriff's deputy is being crucified for his actions trying to prevent a motorist from endangering the citizens with his horrid violation of multiple traffic laws! I hope lawyer Jason Bowles will defend our valiant public defender David Bradshaw, who was doing his job by trying stop the crazy fool who should not even have had a drivers license at the time Deputy Bradshaw tried to protect members of the community. This is about a God-Fearing man who gives his time to the not so fortunate. This man who has his own worries and concerns helps his community by giving and organizing aid to the homeless, elderly, and the disabled. His home is a small town in south eastern New Mexico where a lot of the important services freeze at 5 pm. The current heat wave has put an enormous strain on his upstart nonprofit enterprise. Fixed income folks, who don't have the means to repair or replace their air conditioning or refrigeration units, face life threatening weather in the form extreme heat and excessive humidity. Enrique Moreno organizes volunteer groups in Roswell to help families and individuals cope with personal disasters. This servant of the Lord plays a crucial role in a community where for every homeless person, there are 10 who are a single paycheck away from living in the streets. I believe it was Elizabeth Sharp, an associate professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies in Lubbock Texas,  who did a deep study on the stigma of being a single woman. One would think that stigma would have diminished over the years, BUT IT HAS NOT according to the work of the well known scholar in Red Raider land. Dr Sharp's protege, Larry Ganong, borrowed form Ellison's invisible man to relate the notion of visibility and invisibility to the plight of women who choose not to get hitched. The Will Nots in the United States have grown to apalling numbers. The man you see in the picture below was begging on a major road near a Cracker Barrel in Northglenn Colorado. I am not talking about the Can Nots who have medical or mental conditions and are unemployable. I am referring to able-bodied men and women who are playing on the sympathies of God Fearing Christians. Many ignorant religious types believe they will burn in Hell if they do not help the meek and disenfranchised. They give to clear their conscious over the horny baby sitter they cheated with or the man the wife lusted over at work. The man, in his early 30's, was from Nigeria, Africa and was holding up a sign in busy traffic that said anything you can give me is a blessing. The black man turned his head side ways  as we took his picture. Maybe his mother will find this post and put her lazy son to work!

David Graeber spends and enormous amount of his time writing about worthless jobs and occupations. For example, he wrote an enormously long paper that categorized forms of employment as Bullshit or not. Is this David's job to sift through positions like janitor, teaching assistant, actuarial, chemist, engineer, road construction, public school teacher, etc and rate them based on his limited perceptions of what those professions entail? David's arrogance is manifest with his usage of terms like flunkies and goons. Perhaps he is independently wealthy and does not have to work to pay bills, rent, mortgage, car payments, health insurance. It is clear in his exposition that believes there are people who value his opinion. He also tries to correlate happiness with having an unpleasant job. David was very active during Occupy Wall Street around three years ago and appears to have spent those 3 years penning his voluminous commentary in, I guess his magnum opus, of over 122,000...

Dr. Ann Lynn Mcllroy is playing musical principals. The newly minted superintendent decided to rotate principals to different schools. This bolt from the blue caught many educators off guard. Break room gossip was high intensity and many teachers are concerned they will be displaced from supportive colleagues. She did not give any easy to understand explanation for this unsettling decision, nor was there any indication she was going to make such a radical administrative decision. Some of the older more established principals indicated that would resign rather than have to get used to new system and environment. Experienced RISD admins and staff are still scratching their heads trying to figure out her motivation. Some Roswell Independent School District veteran teachers believe Doctor Ann was being sensitive and not wanting to hurt the feelings of any thin-skinned school leaders.

Attractive redhead and broad-minded intellectual, Diane Mandaville, sang the praises, of Mountain Painting Company in Beaverton, Oregon United States of America, for the high-end job they did on her million dollar home. How did I know Diane lived in an expensive home? One of the judges on Hot Bench pondered why Diane could not get along with her neighbor, Alex Backardjiev, who also owns a commodious and pricey home. As I understood the contentious dispute, Mrs Mandaville was pissed off at her neighbor for defacing a common fence shared by the neighbors of 20 years!! We read an article, by Dan Taylor(employed by itstillworks.com ) , detailing how to remove yourself from the American Automobile Association aka AAA mailing list. We get solicitations begging us to join AAA around every THREE WEEKS .  We followed Dan's directions to opt out or kill/cancel the subscription about 4 months ago and still see our mail box flooded with bulky, hard to dispose of snail mail with 2 cards that are difficult to shred unless one takes the time to actually open the envelope! As you can see on the picture below, one is ordered to not bend and to please comply promptly for this so-called choice privileges membership. We were actually ordered not to discard the advertisement for a service that you can get for free when you purchase new car at most major dealerships. I thought my age was finally catching up with me when we received a bogus New Fee from North Texas Tollway Authority (they were careful to not call the 10 dollar fee a late fee for some reason) Then I read about the NTTA nightmares penned by Mark Bolla and Doug Morrell. Both gentlemen have clean criminal records and are law-abiding citizens, but both had to pay exorbitant late fees when they NEVER RECEIVED an original/initial bill. The both filed complaints against NTTA for attempting to rip them off. NTTA spokesperson Michael Rey admitted that NTTA was WRONG and removed the late charges for both Bolla and Morrell way back in 2015. SO WHY DID I GET A BILL FROM ZIPCASH under identical circumstances?!!! ENOUGH OF THE PHANTOM TOLL BILLS!!!

Shannon Stidman was employed as a paranormal specialist for the  Washington State Ghost Society. She spent some of her time reading through snail mail and email that dealt with hauntings, poltergeists, witches etc. Shannon's primary function was to determine which supernatural claims were credible and which were bogus. I wish I had been around to advise Miss Stidman on this matter prior to her accepting the employment in Washington State. She eventually quit the job and moved to Austin, Texas in the United States of America. She did the right thing since THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A CREDIBLE REPORTAGE OF A GHOST.

Just watched a television interview with a young man named Luke Lopez. Lopez criticized law enforcement officials for charging ENMU students with theft of university property which was to be sold at an auction. Chairs valued at 6 dollars were ripped off by students and Luke thought that the theft should not be recorded on their criminal records.He declared that it would ruin their chances of finding decent careers and employment. I sure as hell would not hire thieves. Luke is a scholarship recipient, from Crosbyton Texas, in Portales New Mexico. So what do you think would have been a more fair punishment for stealing Luke? One of the reasons your punk friends ripped off the auction was that their values are in the toilet and they are not used to having to face the consequences of their irresponsible and immoral actions!!!! Did you ever take a course in ethics Mr Honor Role dude?!

Exercise caution on the unmanageable number of get rich quick schemes that are Internet based. Bossless Forever, developed by Amiee Ball,  is one such scam which misleadingly indicates anybody can make $5000 per month by producing local lead generation. Her YouTube video stated she makes $4000 per month by working only 1-2 hours per day! Amiee Ball attempts to sell her vibrant personality and marginal attractiveness, while begging viewers to click on the link/advertisement below to learn more about lead generation. Miss Ball does not appear to be aware this is a violation of  Adsense Terms and Conditions. I am surprised Adsense has not terminated her account to date?! Understand that Amiee Ball would not trying to be sell a course on how to make a ton of money if she was already making a ton of money utilizing the money making principles she is trying to sell!!!!

A native of southeastern New Mexico in the United States was upset that Walmart no longer sells firearms. Roswell NM has many incidents of gun violence and murder, which is a good enough justification to discontinue handgun and rifle sales for one possessing any common sense. Eduardo Alvarado stated in TV interview conducted in the parking lot of the world's largest retailer, that it made no sense for Walmart to quit selling weapons if they sell hunting and fishing license along with ammunition. YOU MUST BE KIDDING! ! Let me explains it so a first grader would get it Eddie boy. A license or Ammunition without a gun does not KILL people. Is that simple enough for you dude? Alvarado, seen in the picture below, puts us on notice that intelligent looking people are sometimes stricken with ignorance and flawed reasoning.
