Forcing Your Own Child to Fake Illness

There are a few things that most cultures feel are unconditionally wrong, to wit, Child Molestation and Violent Rape.

I just read a blast from the past that comes to us from August of 2003 in Ohio. A couple managed to fake that their daughter had leukemia in order to illicit charitable donations and government assistance. The seven year old girl was completely healthy, but they shaved her head and treated her inhumanely in order to make her look the part. Robert Milbrandt and his wife never declared their guilt while conceding there was enough evidence to convict them of felony theft.

No mention was made of whether their young daughter recovered from this travesty and evil of parenthood to lead a balanced and stable life.

Do you think we can add an abominable action like this to our short list of items that are unconditionally wrong?

Urbana, Ohio -- A man accused of helping his wife fake leukemia in
their 7-year-old daughter to obtain thousands of dollars in
donations pleaded guilty Monday to a felony count of endangering
            children.
Robert Milbrandt also acknowledged, without admitting guilt, that
there is enough evidence to convict him of felony theft. He faces up
to six years in prison and a $12,500 fine.
His wife, Teresa Milbrandt, pleaded guilty to felony charges of
endangering children, grand theft and eight counts of theft on
Thursday, said prosecutor Nick Selvaggio. She faces up to 14 1/2
years in prison and a $35,000 fine.
The Milbrandts are scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 24.
Police said the couple duped 65 people and businesses into giving
them up to $31,000 to help them treat their daughter.
Teresa Milbrandt shaved her daughter's hair and gave her sleeping
pills to make it look like she was receiving chemotherapy, made her
wear a protective mask and put her in counseling to prepare for
            death.
