Parents, Please look after your Children in Restaurants

Image
Some families with children, most notably Hispanic/Mexican clans, do NOT attend to their kids in public places like restaurants or grocery stores. An Italian restaurant in Ruidoso, NM United States of America sets a polite but stern policy regarding their patrons with children. The picture below was taken outside the entrance of Michael J's located on the East/West Street of Mechem Drive in the Northwestern part of this ski resort town. The sign reads " Well behaved kids are welcome, We trust your kids will behave well while dining...." Translation:Disruptions by your ill-mannered rug rats will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Take them to MacDonalds playground if you have not instilled proper manners on your own flesh and blood!! The quality of dining experience was above average to good. Be ready to pay around 28 USD for ONLY FIVE squares of seafood/lobster Ravioli. You have to pay for refills. Wait staff and host are first rate people. Reservations

Captive lender lien release

I have a question that was partially answered by attorney Judson E Crump. Crump is quite up to date and knowledgeable regarding lien holder issues on trade in vehicles. The question deals with release of a lien on a car title. The lien holder was a Ford captive lender. The captive lender was paid off with a personal check 13 months prior to the trade-in for a new vehicle. The captive lender sent the borrower a lien release that was not printed on the title to the vehicle, but a separate piece of paper. This separate document was given to the auto dealer's finance department and lost, so the dealer was stuck with a car it could not sell until it found the lien release. The Mobile, Alabama attorney did not know if this now becomes the buyers responsibility to have another copy of the lien release sent to dealer OR whether the dealer can call the Ford captive lender requesting another lien release since the dealer lost the lien release to begin with!!

Give Home Town service providers your lawn care business

Image
We usually complain when somebody tapes or attaches an advertisement to our front door, but last Friday was different. We found a lawn mowing service card attached to one of our rental properties in Roswell, New Mexico. See the picture below: Teresa Lucero taped her T and R Lawn Care Services card to one of our properties sort of close to the NMMI golf course. She cut down the overgrown weeds that had built up next to the Roper Vinyl Fences built by the fella from Clovis. Her rates are exceptionally competitive an she knows how to wipe out your weed problems too! It is too late in the season, but she fertilizes trims and edges as well.

Who pays Bank maintenance fees nowadays?

Does anybody out there in cyberspace have the faintest idea how Bank of America stays in business with all their fees and charges? We have a credit card with them that pays two percent cash back on all purchases of groceries including purchases made a warehouse stores like Sam's Club and Costco. We are happy with that, but not with the constant barrage of emails begging us to open a Bank account with them. The latest was an offer of $300 to open an account with one of the requiremnets being to have $4000 worth of direct deposits sent to the account withing 90 days of account opening. Then you had wait another period of time and they would deposit the free 300 dollars in your account. One of their accounts has a ridiculously high $25 maintenance fee if you don't do certain difficult to understand requirements. You had to enter your zip code, for some unspecified reason, to determine would your meager interest rate would be! Ours just hung when we entered our Abilene,Texas

Perfect Customer Satisfaction Survey Required for Car Sales People to earn acceptable paycheck

We have purchased 3 vehicles at the Toyota Dealership in Lubbock Texas in the last decade or so. Was a little surprised at the pressure that the woman, who gets you set up to hook your Iphone up to the vehicle, put on us to give nothing but scores of 10 to the salesman. Matt Jones, writing for Edmund.com, explains why. Matt stated that the sales representative's compensation, and possibly their job, depends on getting straight tens. Anything lower than a 10 could be devastating to the stability of this high stress job. The finance guy very directly told us the same thing NOTHING BUT 10's or the guys salary is dirt! The net effect is that customers at Gene Messer get great service and deals, but sells staff can develop ulcers and anxiety attacks! Oh well, GO TECH for a brilliant run in NCAA basketball tournament.

Lead Poisoning still a concern in these modern times

Alyson Footer is employed by Benjamin Moore paint which is tangentially related to customer complaints at Nottingham Manor in Montvale, New Jersey. A young couple ,looking for a place to reside while waiting on their dream home to be built, rented an apartment there and were initially quite satisfied with accommodations until their 2 year old became continuously ill. No attempt was made to implicate Nottingham Manor since mom and dad could could not prove the lead based paint poisoning was ingested while they resided there. In fact, management was never notified according neighbors and friends. A more substantial problem are the very thin walls to the point you can hear neighbor urinating and having sex even when orgasm intensity is not that much. Dad was a Major League Baseball prospect and is currently playing Triple A baseball for a West coast team ranked very high in the power ratings published by Alyson.

Hitting into double plays with bases loaded too often can end a major leaguer's career

Jacob Shawn Marisnick plays professional baseball for the Houston Astros. He is an outfielder who is showing signs of being a liablity in the batting order. Yesterday, in the last game of a three game series at Boston's Fenway Park, Jake grounded into an inning ending double play with the bases loaded. In the last inning, the Riverside California native struck out with a man on where the Astros had a chance to  tie or win the game an sweep the series against the World Series champions. Jake has to figure out a way to not ground into double plays with bases loaded if he wants to stay in Hinch's starting lineup. Craig Biggio went an entire 162 game season WITHOUT HITTING INTO A DOUBLE PLAY back in the day!

Chicago Woman desires a baby beyond comprehensio

46 year old Clarisa Figueroa strangled 19-year-old Marlen Ochoa-Lopez at Figueroa's domicile. Clarisa then excised the teen's baby from her uterus and claimed the child as her own. Why Clarisa did not just legally adopt an infant has to be the first question. Clarisa's boyfriend, Piotr Bobak, is reported to have a low concentration sperm count. Why didn't Clarisa dump Piotr and marry a dude with healthy sperm count. You got me. There is no option but to electrocute Clarisa publicly as this type of behavior cannot be allowed. Zero compassion for Figueroa and her daughter Desiree. The connection was made on FaceBook who cannot be blamed for this unspeakable horror!

Lock up Violent Murderers and throw away the Key

Dear loving family of murderer and violent criminal Darian Bashir, Your offspring will spend the rest of his life locked in a cage fit for the animal he is. I noticed you all showed up to the courthouse, I guess, to beg he be set free. Darian did not learn right from wrong from his mother and father, so the state correctional facilities will attempt to do your job for you. Dysfunctional families like yours who produce lowlifes like Darian are the reason people are afraid to move to Albuquerque!!! Nob Hill business owners hate the negative influence you have over their bottom line and are happy to see your son incarcerated for life. You might be forgiven if you can make sure the rest of your kids do not become homicidal maniacs.

Self Promoting Business People in Southeastern New Mexico

Image
The following picture was taken at a Thai restaurant in Hobbs or Roswell New Mexico United States of America. We knew the US was extremely capitalistic and full of entrepreneurs who spend enormous amounts of USD to make consumers aware of the goods and services they have to offer.  However, we had no idea that business owners printed advertisements on their shirts to promote their companies! A gentleman, by the name of Preston if I recall, advertised Lant Asphalt Sealcoating on the back of his blue shirt as you can see in the picture below. Normally, I would not photograph a citizen of a country in public as it strikes me as rude and gauche, but Mr Preston chose to be a walking advertisement losing all expectations of privacy.

New Mexico Gas Utility Company Surprises Customers with Expensive Service Charge

Does anybody know why New Mexico Gas Company started charging a $2.50 service charge to pay your gas bill with a credit card online at their nmgco.gov or  nmgco.com web site? Before this costly change, one could pay a "one time only" gas bill at NO CHARGE via their favorite cash rewards credit card. Now the powers that bee try and force you to give up your bank routing number for a recurring payment at no charge, however this prevents customers from using their credit cards for cash back rewards on their utility bills!!!! Thanks a lot to the admins of Emera Company for this unpleasant and inconvenient surprise. Our gas bill is rarely over 25 dollars and the greedy utility company wants to charge us 10% service charge just to process transaction. They know natural gas customers have no choice but to use them as their home heating gas supplier.

DWI car thief's family full of hot air

Selinda Guerrero defended multiple DWI offender and violent car thief criminal Vicente Villela on the local TV station in Abuquerque New Mexico.    Guerrero is defending a man who kicked down the door of a woman in her South Valley home and then made a threat on her life if she refused to give him her car keys. The drunken fool then stole her car and crashed it in her backyard. This all transpired as Vicente was fleeing federal Marshalls. His sister, Sandra Villela, predictably defends her lowlife brother, but your brother is dead because he had a long criminal history and got CHOKED out because he was not cooperating with law enforcement!!!  The general public is sick and tired of criminals who claim to be victims!! If you break into another's home and get killed in the process, then nobody but your whiny no-account family gives a damn!!!

List of Former Esteemed Colleagues or Acquaintances

This is a tribute to former colleagues, friends, and business associates who were principled enough to never really cross the administrator/"regular in the trench worker" line. You know what I mean right? High level admins often have to engage in unethical actions  which sometimes includes screwing over a former buddy who did not move up the corporate ladder. The following list of fine people and dedicated employees includes bankers, database admins, real estate professionals, MBA, CSM, data scientists, financial technology specialists, pro bono attorneys, domestic engineers AKA housewives, web software developers and coders, insurance professionals, preachers and members of the clergy Mike Foley, Wade Koteras, Mahesh Mangnaik,Wesley Gamble, Dennis Ruffer,Lauren Parr, Carol (Burlene) Morgan, JuFei Lee, Carol Denninghoff, Ron Rutherford,  Donn Vickrey,  Grayson Berry, Dan Tierney, Donald Feige, Kara Adkins, Nathan Nguyen, Rich Homolka, Ashley Cunningham, Sidney Gerber,

A Gryphon Gaffe

The television commentator for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball in the United States was particularly critical of the play of outfielder  Brian Christopher Goodwin during a very one-sided loss to the Houston Astros Sunday afternoon in a game played in Mexico. The Astro Catcher had just struck a, difficult to play line drive, which color commentator Sutcliffe stated was a relatively easy play to make during his ESPN announcing job. The Red Baron said that a player of Goodwin's athletic prowess should not have misjudged the flight of the ball allowing an insurance run to score. It was a mental error that did not make it to the box score. The Rocky Mount High School Gryphon was a little too careless according to the high and mighty ESPN employee

Long Line on a Sunday afternoon at a Home Improvement Store in south eastern NM

Image
The long line you see in the picture is at a Home Improvement store in Roswell, New Mexico. NO, it is not Foxworth-Galbraith Home Improvement Center who we prefer, but was not open on this day of the Sabbath. The line, beginning at Burpee seeds and ending near the one person check out area next to PowerGear tree branch products, was 6 shopping baskets long. My daughter, who lives in Alien City said the store manager is usually good about calling another checker, but not on this day. I know that the Home Depots in the larger cities like DFW and Houston never let the long lines even form. It is a stressful job managing a place like Lowes or Costco.

Weak Sporting News Coverage

I know J.P. Murrieta, formerly of KOB news in Albuquerque NM, left viewers, friends, and staff for much greener pastures at the New Mexico Activities Association. However, the new sports director needs to do a better job of creating newsworthy sports stories. The Houston Astros dominated the Angels of Los Angeles with very balanced attack and some high quality pitching. All the new guy could do was mention that Alex Bregman hit a couple of home runs including a solo shot in the first inning. OK OK, I get it that Duke city denizens love their home town boy Alex like you would expect them to, but how about some objective, well rounded reportage new guy!!? It is old news that Bregman is among the MLB elite, won a World Series, and hails from Albuquerque. Maybe mention his dad is an attorney.
