An Unworthy Ann Coulter Critic

Don't you just have contempt for people who like to cling to the coat tails of somebody who made it big from their home town? The kind of story I am talking about is the one where somebody writes about an acquaintance of theirs in High School who became famous. The true motivation of  their writing is jealously and disappointment for not having made their mark on this world, so they try to get a piece of the fame, after the fact, by writing disparaging commentary.

Such is the case with an unidentified author contributing to the Daily Kos who pens the following sad tripe about how he knew Ann Coulter in High School and how she was a rich kid whose political views were distorted by the opulence of her upbringing. Please read the following snippet written by somebody with the screen name of blueinsight writing for Daily Kos:

Ann Coulter garners more attention than she deserves(you bet man....we know you get more attention hiding behind some pseudonym writing for an average blog), but as a public service(right....you mean your feeble attempt to discredit somebody who is superior to you?) allow me to share some tidbits about the town where she grew up. At the least this will provide a basis of understanding, as in "how did she grow up to be such nutjob?" to borrow Al Franken's useful term.

I don't have the answer to that question. I don't know if she's crazy. But I may be able to offer a few clues to her public personna with a few facts and ancedotes about the special place she called home before making the big time. It ranks high among the richest communities in the nation, a statistic you can look up. It would also rank somewhere high on any list of those with the most family dysfunction, if such a list could be found. In short, it is full of batshit-crazy rich people. I should know, I grew up there too(sorry...no evidence that you grew up so far.....), in a family crazier than most.
