Monetizing the Death of Your Son

I don't remember where I read or heard that the woman hating video produced by Elliot Rodger has been viewed by 86% of Americans and close to that percentage worldwide. For those of you who did not view video where Eliot decided he needed to kill some the women who would not give him any pussy, please watch it to understand the torment and misery of a 22 year old malcontent who could not get laid and reacted with a vengeance.

My rant is with his father, an assistant director on the set of The Hunger Games, who is now trying to monetize the suicide of his son. You can read the details below, but I am guessing Peter Rodger has visions of big time cinematic payday based on the sexual tension induced shooting spree of his tightly wound, homicidal male progeny.

Father even volunteered to take his horny, virgin offspring to Sin City to pay for a much needed release, but Elliot preferred stewing, ruminating, and murder to a fling in Las Vegas.

His Dad should not earn a single penny of revenue in book sales, appearances, movies, etc. Kids are already killing just to make an appearance on CNN. Let's not start a killing cottage industry that allows parents to profit from their kids homicidal tendencies!!

If you read on, much of what Peter Rodger states could have been thought out very carefully after Elliot shot himself in an effort to monetize his son's death.

Rodger insisted he never imagined his son capable of violence, despite chronic social problems Elliott had suffered among his peers since boyhood and years he had spent in therapy.

He was aware that his son was obsessed with having never had sex, and once suggested taking him to Las Vegas to lose his virginity, an idea his son rejected.

Rodger recalled rebuking his son years later when he found out he had been dabbling in websites devoted to misogynist ideology, but even then did not appreciate the level of hatred his son harbored toward women.

Rodger said his son was "incredibly brilliant at hiding" his inner demons and expressed remorse for the pain that has caused the victims' families.
