 During Henry's walks in the Village he claimed that gossip taken in homeopathic doses was as invigorating and refreshing as the rustle of leaves and the croaking of frogs in the secluded part of the woods the recluse resided.  This begs the question: What did the word homeopathic mean to the great spiritualist author way back in the 19th century? In other words did Thoreau believe gossip served a good function. The term homeopathy is related to alternative medicine or natural remedies these days, but I sort of think the Walden Pond writer meant "small amounts" of back stabbing gossip were not necessarily bad if it warned the villagers and citizens of evil intent.  I am soooo certain that ELIZABETH WELLINGTON could add much truth and insight to this thread of interest. Also Susan Margolin is no lightweight regarding the potential damaging effects of loose lips in the Concord, Massachusetts region!

I apologize to Farmer's Market organizer Peggy Seskey for NOT attending the iconic Roswell, NM event. Peggy breaks her back to set this up and sell affordable and healthy food. We have patronized it for the last 7 years as there is really nothing like it in Midland,Texas.  Unfortunately, our daughter has reported that Roswell natives do NOT wear masks, recklessly endangering the law abiding people with the transmission of the lung destroying disease! Even the Mayor has expressed his disdain for the governor's orders. Typical politician who wants to get elected next time around. Another reason we will not buy a lot of nutritious food there, is we heard Kia Russ might organize a protest at the Market venue. Russ is another of many Black Lives Matter Zealots. Stucco is a very popular exterior surface to homes in southeastern New Mexico. The French Brother's home that you see located on Positano Loop in Roswell,NM has not been stuccoed on its front side yet. That could be because the construction site workers spend a lot of time talking boisterously while listening to loud music. The second floor scaffolding you see in picture is already in place to help them finish up their work before noon the next day. We don't know this firsthand, but were told by our babysitter who told us their loud music was really blaring one morning. She went out and looked their direction making eye contact, but that did no good. We tried to call the Alamogordo home builders to complain, but only got their answering machine repeatedly. They never replied to our message, but it did get quieter, so our message requesting that the noisy workers shut up was not ignored.
