Another Health Care Injustice
Seems like everybody is scared senseless these days about getting sick and not being able get the health care they need due to the extremely unfair health care system in the United States.
I hope you all get a chance to read the Al Lewis column on an elementary school friend who worked as a heavy-equipment mechanic and was stricken with cancer. The chemotherapy treatments eroded his families savings to the point their home was foreclosed upon and they would soon be served an eviction notice.
His wife and middle school aged children would be forced to move out of their lifelong home despite the fact they had faithfully paid medical insurance premiums on time their entire life. Friends and family lent them money and did fundraisers for around $50,000 which put only a very small dent in their medical bills!
Are you as pissed off as me about this?!! Do you know who is complicit in this crime against hard working American citizens? Doctors. Yes Doctors are aware of the unfair and exploitative prices of the services they provide and the impossible to read bills they send you.
I don't know what to do about it, but at this point I would rather just die young than give the greedy insurance companies and doctors a penny of my money!
