This mail item labeled as Urgent went straight to Shredder

The picture you see of the huge envelope occupying our mail box today had all the markings of a bona fide overnight Express document. It was labeled open immediately, contents are extremely urgent,rush to addressee, and contents are extremely important.




As a jaded curmudgeon, I knew this was nothing to get too excited about even though Roswell,NM Nissan enclosed a check for $1588 which was to be applied to the cost of a Maxima or Altima.

Notice that the return address is Program Headquarters, 2111 W. Second Street, Roswell,NM. They made sure not to put Nissan anywhere on the surface of the duplicitous sales missive, otherwise even fewer prospective dupes would be inclined to open it.

Please leave comment if you are pissed off enough to consider legal action to stop this unwanted mailbox cluttering tripe. The unsolicited letter from Nissan is about four times the size of a normal snail mail envelope.

The Clerk has your Gasoline Receipt

How many times on a cold or rainy day have you gotten the following message at the gas pump indicating you have to enter the convenience store in order to pick up your receipt for gasoline purchase? The last thing anybody wants to see from a credit card purchase gas pump is a message stating that the clerk has the receipt! On this particular day, I was already late to pick up our daughter from day care and did not have time to walk into AllSups to pick up receipt from the convenience store attendant. Did I say CONVENIENCE store!? I think many roadside convenience stores intentionally do not reload the receipt paper rolls in order to force customers into their establishment. Once inside, customer may buy a lottery ticket, cigarettes, beer, condom, etc. Many patrons need the gas receipts either to be reimbursed by their employer or for their IRS tax itemization. Homeowner's Tree dangerously Blocking Stop Sign

 As I far as I know code enforcement has contacted the female you see in the picture below regarding a huge front yard tree that is blocking a stop sign at a busy four way intersection.  She would be in violation of laws dealing with obstructing traffic signs in any other city. She resides at 113 West Deming Zip code 88203 in Roswell New Mexico. You can see how dangerous her uncut and untrimmed huge tree is at the corner of South Richardson and Deming in the picture below. I am sure she has received a lot of stimulus money as well as unemployment payments from Uncle Sam so I know she has the cash to cover the costs of cutting the hazardous tree down to size!! I worked for code enforcement in Midland Texas and they would have warned this homeowner once and the then fined her for neglect and threatening the general welfare of the public.
