 My relatives at family reunions all believe that insurance agents do what they do because they have proven they are not any good at other professions. I believe that claim is probably true about Allen Sturtevant who is an Allstate insurance agency owner out of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Allen sent us an inflated Homeowners Quote of around $1500 on a home that we insured for less than $1000 last year. Mr Sturtevant is  proud of his computer program that reads through public information files from appraisal districts all over the Land of Enchantment and sends out tens of thousands of mail box cluttering unwanted snail mail solicitations.  Texas watchdog Dave Lieber writes about the illegality of appraisal districts hiding market values of homes in ones proximity to mask the true taxable value of ones domicile. Heather paid for a newspaper ad which did NOT disclose the interest rate which probably means it is at a usury level. Usury is a polite term for gouge.  While NMCC is not a payday loan business which sometimes have APR of 400%. Yes, you pay back in interest 4 times what you borrow!!!!!  This picture that I found on Facebook reminds me of how New Mexico's governor can ruin people's life with the snap of her finger. It is picture from one of the school room buildings at the Military Institute in Roswell. The janitors there are working very hard to kill COVID and they flood the classrooms with some kind of blue light that KILLS Corona. I think the custodians have to stay up there an extra hour while the light is disinfecting the classroom and they have to put do not enter signs on the door until the light goes off. My brother in law is a janitor there and needs the money bad to take care of his poor family and wife who has trouble holding down a job even when times are good!  Rumors are being spread that NMMI will be shut down even though they are sticking to the rules and nobody is getting infected.  For most of my adult life, I have viewed the morality level of insurance agents as slightly higher on the totem pole than cars salesmen and Real Estate Agents. Recently received a snail mail solicitation Christian Slayton who wanted me to know she had her MBA which stands for Masters Degree in Business Administration. The solicitation was for a new and less expensive Home owners insurance policy.  The female insurance agent knew that my current policy was about to expire and offered me another one for the unbelievably low price of $601 annual premium. This is over $200 less than my current hazard insurance policy of $810 with Liberty Mutual.  MBA Slayton, from Albuquerque, NM, is apparently an independent agent not affiliated with any "name brands" Her letter was auto generated from free public information I believe so not much cost to her other than the bulk postal rate and printing costs. The desperate woman knew the age of our home and the square footage. Sorry Christian
