A Very Skeptical Tweeter

Michael Shermer may be the most skeptical man in the world. One of his tweets at the world famous micro blogging site seves to illustrate: @michaelshermer: My retort: Adding "alien intelligence" to explaining the pyramids is not legit bc no evidence of ETIs, but lots of evidence of Egyptians.

Shermer stating there is no evidence of extraterrestrial intelligence is a little like him saying there is no evidence of a God. Many at Twiiter poke fun at Shermer's dyed in the wool, extremely skeptical vantage point. 

Shermer chose to waste a lot of time tweeting a photo of a bridge he was crossing as though people cared. He wanted to know how many Tweeters recognized the bridge. One of his followers shot back: @michaelshermer the bridge of unyielding,monolithic,recalcitrant,eternal skepticism no doubt :)

There are many powerful over sensitive egos at Twitter competing to say something witty or clever. Many of the famous subscribers rarely if ever acknowledge the talent and gifts of their followers. I guess  that is their way of maintaining their status.

The Clerk has your Gasoline Receipt

How many times on a cold or rainy day have you gotten the following message at the gas pump indicating you have to enter the convenience store in order to pick up your receipt for gasoline purchase? The last thing anybody wants to see from a credit card purchase gas pump is a message stating that the clerk has the receipt! On this particular day, I was already late to pick up our daughter from day care and did not have time to walk into AllSups to pick up receipt from the convenience store attendant. Did I say CONVENIENCE store!? I think many roadside convenience stores intentionally do not reload the receipt paper rolls in order to force customers into their establishment. Once inside, customer may buy a lottery ticket, cigarettes, beer, condom, etc. Many patrons need the gas receipts either to be reimbursed by their employer or for their IRS tax itemization. Gas stations doing this are in violation of some law. Not many of have the time to file a lawsuit against gas

Homeowner's Tree dangerously Blocking Stop Sign

 As I far as I know code enforcement has contacted the female you see in the picture below regarding a huge front yard tree that is blocking a stop sign at a busy four way intersection.  She would be in violation of laws dealing with obstructing traffic signs in any other city. She resides at 113 West Deming Zip code 88203 in Roswell New Mexico. You can see how dangerous her uncut and untrimmed huge tree is at the corner of South Richardson and Deming in the picture below. I am sure she has received a lot of stimulus money as well as unemployment payments from Uncle Sam so I know she has the cash to cover the costs of cutting the hazardous tree down to size!! I worked for code enforcement in Midland Texas and they would have warned this homeowner once and the then fined her for neglect and threatening the general welfare of the public.
