Some Scrumptious Dark Cherries near Alamogordo

Picked 5 pounds of dark red delectable cherries at the Cadwallader orchard in Cloudcroft New Mexico on June 12. They were so busy, an employee turned us away at the gate. He let us in after we told him we had driven all the way from Midland, Texas.

They have a section of trees for Cherry Pies only. $4 per pound. They recommend to leave the stems on to minimize spoilage of the Gout treating home remedies. My cousin says is just because stems have weight too which you will be  paying for!

One of the old ladies functioning(barely) as a cashier was rude when I asked why they do not TAKE CREDIT CARDS.  They are cash only AND KEEP THE CHANGE. Our price for the 5 pounds was $18.75. We tendered a 20 dollar bill and the old tobacco chewing biddy gave us ONLY one dollar as change, shorting us a quarter.

Advice to the owner of Cadwallader: If you are gonna be one of those tightwads who don't provide the convenient service of allowing your life sustaining patrons to purchase with a credit card, THEN MAKE PROPER CHANGE BY KEEPING CHANGE ON HAND!!!! We have given you our business three years in row and you have gypped us out of over a dollar in change. Next year Nichols will get our business!!!! Did you ever contemplate the fact handling so much paper money spreads COVID-19. Somebody sneezed all over the money they handed you 3 minutes later!!!!

The Clerk has your Gasoline Receipt

How many times on a cold or rainy day have you gotten the following message at the gas pump indicating you have to enter the convenience store in order to pick up your receipt for gasoline purchase? The last thing anybody wants to see from a credit card purchase gas pump is a message stating that the clerk has the receipt! On this particular day, I was already late to pick up our daughter from day care and did not have time to walk into AllSups to pick up receipt from the convenience store attendant. Did I say CONVENIENCE store!? I think many roadside convenience stores intentionally do not reload the receipt paper rolls in order to force customers into their establishment. Once inside, customer may buy a lottery ticket, cigarettes, beer, condom, etc. Many patrons need the gas receipts either to be reimbursed by their employer or for their IRS tax itemization. Homeowner's Tree dangerously Blocking Stop Sign

 As I far as I know code enforcement has contacted the female you see in the picture below regarding a huge front yard tree that is blocking a stop sign at a busy four way intersection.  She would be in violation of laws dealing with obstructing traffic signs in any other city. She resides at 113 West Deming Zip code 88203 in Roswell New Mexico. You can see how dangerous her uncut and untrimmed huge tree is at the corner of South Richardson and Deming in the picture below. I am sure she has received a lot of stimulus money as well as unemployment payments from Uncle Sam so I know she has the cash to cover the costs of cutting the hazardous tree down to size!! I worked for code enforcement in Midland Texas and they would have warned this homeowner once and the then fined her for neglect and threatening the general welfare of the public.
