Heroic Hospital Administrators??!!????

I could not help but recall the commentary of Doris Koniezny and Scott Dybiec(all indicating that Dr Drew has sold out. Even adam carolla will acknowledge this!! ) regarding medical heroes and the pathetic advice given by MTV romance "doctor" Drew Pinsky claiming Corona virus being overblown. 

We were real estate shopping in Roswell NM for possible retirement home. We have fought the traffic and polluted air of the big city for too long and have been checking out areas in west Texas and and southeast New Mexico to enjoy retired life. We will probably retire in Texas since the land of enchantment taxes your social security income, but could not help but notice the sign in the front yard of high end stucco home located on Sorrento Drive not far from modern looking Dental office. 

The sign near the fire hydrant informed us that A Healthcare Hero Lives Here. So Wife naturally assumed it must be an ER doctor or nurse or an RN who comes into frequent contact with seriously ill COVID19 patients.

We learned the homeowner is an administrator at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center and the apparent hero the front yard sign references. 

Doctor Janice Boughton wrote at length about the unjustifiably high salaries and perks "earned"by Hospital admins. and insurance executives.


She states the reason that American health care is so astronomically overpriced is not because doctors earn too much, or drug companies charge exorbitant prices or device manufacturers are making increasingly  expensive devices with improved functionality and expanded indications. 

So YEAH I don't see health care admins as heroes compared to the people who have to put on the masks and stand within two feet of very sick contagious patients!!!!!

The Clerk has your Gasoline Receipt

How many times on a cold or rainy day have you gotten the following message at the gas pump indicating you have to enter the convenience store in order to pick up your receipt for gasoline purchase? The last thing anybody wants to see from a credit card purchase gas pump is a message stating that the clerk has the receipt! On this particular day, I was already late to pick up our daughter from day care and did not have time to walk into AllSups to pick up receipt from the convenience store attendant. Did I say CONVENIENCE store!? I think many roadside convenience stores intentionally do not reload the receipt paper rolls in order to force customers into their establishment. Once inside, customer may buy a lottery ticket, cigarettes, beer, condom, etc. Many patrons need the gas receipts either to be reimbursed by their employer or for their IRS tax itemization. Gas stations doing this are in violation of some law. Not many of have the time to file a lawsuit against gas

Homeowner's Tree dangerously Blocking Stop Sign

 As I far as I know code enforcement has contacted the female you see in the picture below regarding a huge front yard tree that is blocking a stop sign at a busy four way intersection.  She would be in violation of laws dealing with obstructing traffic signs in any other city. She resides at 113 West Deming Zip code 88203 in Roswell New Mexico. You can see how dangerous her uncut and untrimmed huge tree is at the corner of South Richardson and Deming in the picture below. I am sure she has received a lot of stimulus money as well as unemployment payments from Uncle Sam so I know she has the cash to cover the costs of cutting the hazardous tree down to size!! I worked for code enforcement in Midland Texas and they would have warned this homeowner once and the then fined her for neglect and threatening the general welfare of the public.
