Game Show Host a little too Involved Sometimes

Alex took almost 10 seconds to tell jeopardy contestants there were two clues left in double jeopardy round. For that reason, the time expired before  $2000 was read/revealed. I don't think Jeopardy has ever accepted a BLIND contestant who would be UNAWARE there were two clues remaining, so I am befuddled as to why Trebek wastes valuable time stating the obvious to highly intelligent people. 

Over the years the legendary game show host has cost the players money due to unnecessary commentary that is intended to be helpful. For example Jason has almost half of Jill's dollar amount, so if Jason makes it a true daily double, then HE WILL ALMOST CATCH UP WITH JILL. Comon Alex dude! you are not dealing with special ed students here. 

I admire Alex immensely for the way he dealt with the excessively apologetic Sarah Jett Rayburn from a place near Georgetown, Texas. He gently calmed the nerves of the very sharp stay at home mother. I would wonder if she was scolded too frequently as a child or has a domineering husband.

The Clerk has your Gasoline Receipt

How many times on a cold or rainy day have you gotten the following message at the gas pump indicating you have to enter the convenience store in order to pick up your receipt for gasoline purchase? The last thing anybody wants to see from a credit card purchase gas pump is a message stating that the clerk has the receipt! On this particular day, I was already late to pick up our daughter from day care and did not have time to walk into AllSups to pick up receipt from the convenience store attendant. Did I say CONVENIENCE store!? I think many roadside convenience stores intentionally do not reload the receipt paper rolls in order to force customers into their establishment. Once inside, customer may buy a lottery ticket, cigarettes, beer, condom, etc. Many patrons need the gas receipts either to be reimbursed by their employer or for their IRS tax itemization. Homeowner's Tree dangerously Blocking Stop Sign

 As I far as I know code enforcement has contacted the female you see in the picture below regarding a huge front yard tree that is blocking a stop sign at a busy four way intersection.  She would be in violation of laws dealing with obstructing traffic signs in any other city. She resides at 113 West Deming Zip code 88203 in Roswell New Mexico. You can see how dangerous her uncut and untrimmed huge tree is at the corner of South Richardson and Deming in the picture below. I am sure she has received a lot of stimulus money as well as unemployment payments from Uncle Sam so I know she has the cash to cover the costs of cutting the hazardous tree down to size!! I worked for code enforcement in Midland Texas and they would have warned this homeowner once and the then fined her for neglect and threatening the general welfare of the public.
