Aggressive Dangerous tailgating pickup truck driver Cloudcroft New Mexico

We were on the phone trying to contact Matt Vance after a harrowing incident involving a 2009 Ford  F350 Super Duty FX4 Lariat King Ranch Black pick up truck(Plate Number 595TDZ) near CloudCroft NM.

The driver of the vehicle was about 4 feet behind us in a 45 mph zone where we were already going over 50 miles per hour. He honked and then aggressively passed us almost striking our new Camry while waving his hands and screaming with his window rolled down. After the ignorant fool passed us he almost rear ended the car that was previously in front of us HONKING HIS HORN impatiently at his new victim. ,
He turned right on road across the street from pit bbq place and parked near the Sew Happy garment, seamstress, quilting, and embroidery  establishment run by Bobbi Huber. Don't think he entered the place.

The driver of truck had been following us closely all the way from Mayhill which alarmed my wife who called local authorities with his tag number. We also left a picture of the enraged motorist with the local visitor center who documents and keeps logs of dangerous driving incidents. The police response was too slow to be effective, but I think the driving infraction was logged which might eventually lead to punitive litigation if lawyer or authorities get other similar reports.

The guy tormenting us was not a  negligent driver or a distracted driver, but was cutting and swerving in the congested traffic near city limits coming in from Mayhill. NM traffic code § 66-8-113 NMSA 1978 has provisions that can lead to conviction and incarceration of motor vehicle operators who repeatedly recklessly endanger those around them!

  1. This is reminiscent of what happened in to Tamara Hacker in Greenwood , Indiana where the State Police never caught the driver of a black passenger car which was tailgating Hacker's Kia in an act of road rage before forcing her so slam into the rear end of a 18 wheeler. She died of blunt trauma on the way to hospital. God Bless her soul and family.

At least you got a picture of your NUT and his Tag number!

Reporter Vic Ryckaert does a professional job of covering these abject tragedies!!
