The Astro Catcher had just struck a, difficult to play line drive, which color commentator Sutcliffe stated was a relatively easy play to make during his ESPN announcing job. The Red Baron said that a player of Goodwin's athletic prowess should not have misjudged the flight of the ball allowing an insurance run to score. It was a mental error that did not make it to the box score.

The Rocky Mount High School Gryphon was a little too careless according to the high and mighty ESPN employee
