Kudos MOM or NOT

Many "mature adults" need attention it seems these days. Rebecca Tafaro Boyer is an example of this. The Saint Jude Children's hospital nurse bragged on Facebook that her text probably saved her 3 month old baby's life.

What led to this courageous text alerting Dad that junior was not strapped into his car seat properly? Rebecca was viewing video of her first born in the car with Dad when she noticed her not so safely secured kiddo in car seat. She quickly texted Papa, who made the "life saving" adjustments to car seat straps about 3 minutes prior to a high speed accident close to their residence.

Rebecca's maternal instincts are to be lauded, but her need to publicize as though she is seeking credit or wants to be recognized is unsettling.

  1. Jason Duaine Hahn writes about the mom being overprotective, but I disagree. He claims that the car was totaled even after alert husband slammed on breaks, so maybe Jason is right.
