Auto Thief Brandishing Gun Shot

What follows is a little more than a mild rant regarding the widely perceived excessive number of police shootings in Albuquerque,NM. As you can read in the pic of newspaper article,  an APD officer shot a woman who stole a car. The cop shot the woman because she was pointing her loaded gun at him as he was attempting to recover the stolen vehicle.

Maybe the shooting of James Boyd was marginal, but this woman car thief has to deal with the consequences of stealing a car and aiming a gun at a police officer. People who do what she did get shot occasionally. The mayor of Albuquerque should have the balls to support his police force, who sometime have to kill outlaws, rather than promise reform. Also Police Chief Gordon Eden should take something other than a neutral position about his subordinate's efforts to defend the citizenry.

The Clerk has your Gasoline Receipt

How many times on a cold or rainy day have you gotten the following message at the gas pump indicating you have to enter the convenience store in order to pick up your receipt for gasoline purchase? The last thing anybody wants to see from a credit card purchase gas pump is a message stating that the clerk has the receipt! On this particular day, I was already late to pick up our daughter from day care and did not have time to walk into AllSups to pick up receipt from the convenience store attendant. Did I say CONVENIENCE store!? I think many roadside convenience stores intentionally do not reload the receipt paper rolls in order to force customers into their establishment. Once inside, customer may buy a lottery ticket, cigarettes, beer, condom, etc. Many patrons need the gas receipts either to be reimbursed by their employer or for their IRS tax itemization. Homeowner's Tree dangerously Blocking Stop Sign

 As I far as I know code enforcement has contacted the female you see in the picture below regarding a huge front yard tree that is blocking a stop sign at a busy four way intersection.  She would be in violation of laws dealing with obstructing traffic signs in any other city. She resides at 113 West Deming Zip code 88203 in Roswell New Mexico. You can see how dangerous her uncut and untrimmed huge tree is at the corner of South Richardson and Deming in the picture below. I am sure she has received a lot of stimulus money as well as unemployment payments from Uncle Sam so I know she has the cash to cover the costs of cutting the hazardous tree down to size!! I worked for code enforcement in Midland Texas and they would have warned this homeowner once and the then fined her for neglect and threatening the general welfare of the public.
